Tell staff to come back when they are less busy
Abdul’s advice: I was scared, when hospital staff were busy. I would watch them to see, if they are busy and say ‘Okay, you come back when you are free and we are both relaxed.’
Prepare notes before a conversation
Deena’s advice: I have aphasia and can find it difficult to say all the things I want to talk about with professionals. I use the notes writing App on my iPad to type out information for others to read in preparation of a conversation or meeting.
